Wig Stands for Cancer Patients

Please join the club for a workshop on Sunday, July 21^st, where our club members will make wig stands for cancer patients who have lost their hair due to their cancer treatments.  Cancer is devastating and one side effect is hair loss.  These wig stands will be donated to cancer centers in Fort Myers.

The wig stands will be made from red oak and the rough blanks for the top, base, and pedestal will be provided.  The top of the wig stands will have a standard shape and I encourage you to put your own artistic interpretation for the base and pedestal.  Make it your own!  There will be enough wood for everyone to make two stands.

Steve Johns will demonstrate how to make wig stands at our July monthly meeting on the 18^th, and I would like those who sign up to attend this demonstration.  This will let us hit the floor running.
