How To Turn a Platter For Resin Casting

During this interactive remote demonstration, Emma Cook (The Tiny Turner) will work through how to turn a platter suitable for resin casting: including all the considerations you need to make for this type of decoration.

Once the turning preparation is completed, Emma will look at the various items you can cast in resin, again explaining considerations to make when choosing what you want to encase in your own project. She will briefly talk through different resin options available to you, before mixing and pouring an epoxy resin onto the platter turned and decorating during the evening's demonstration.

Finally, a pre-prepared blank will be turned to completion so Emma can talk through the various options of finishing projects which have resin inclusions.

This demo is always fun and gives the opportunity for you to ask as many questions as you want, as well as often helping steer the project through audience interaction where possible!
